Description: In the fullness of time God sent his Son and his Spirit upon the earth and they transformed the world. But what sort of transformation was it? The scientific physical processes of the world were not changed. Instead the world was elevated to be the place where the risen Christ becomes present in and through the world made personal. As Christ in Scripture says, “Where two or three meet in my name, I shall be there with them.” How? The Holy Spirit comes to decode the relationships of these two or three as laser light decodes a hologram. As a laser reveals a true 3D image so the Holy Spirit reveals Christ truly personally present. As with a hologram where the whole image can be fully visible in any part of the holographic media so Christ becomes wholly present by the Spirit in any group of people gathered in his name. Then just as the hologram without the laser light reduces to a chaotic mess imposed on regular fringes of light with no 3D image so without the Holy Spirit the world reduces to a collection of mere chance events imposed on a world of physical laws without any ultimate meaning. However, with the Holy Spirit and the ability to see his decoding action Christ is revealed as the ultimate meaning of the world.
